My name is Eric Vandersloot. I am a web developer from Texas, and I recently attended CareerFoundry's Full-Stack Web Developer course with a goal of changing careers. I strive to continually learn new skills and apply them where needed. With a background in Law Enforcement and Telecommunications, I have a diverse skillset. Through my professional experience I have gained over 20 years of customer service, an understanding of technology, and I understand the importance of a collaborative team environment. In my previous industries, attention to detail was very important. Not unlike web development, investigations could be tedious. Piecing together evidence to render a solution involved concentration and patience, something I know is important to the final outcome. I chose to become a web developer because it is a growing industry, and the skills I have developed through my professional experience will translate well into my new career.
